Development Wing is an organization whose mission is to support musical arts education and the creation of new American musicals.  Grants are awarded annually to organizations and artists who are actively involved in teaching or creating and producing new musical works. 

As public funding becomes scarce for the development of new musical work, it impedes the possibility of creation by artists, young and old. Government funded arts education programs have virtually disappeared, making it nearly impossible for public schools to continue their arts programs without enhancement from individuals and organizations like the Development Wing, which exists solely because of its grass roots support.
